I just went on this amazing two-day tour from Havana traveling to Matanzas Province in Cuba! Then on to Cienaga de Zapata park and crocodile farm, a stop along the pristine waters along the Bay of Pigs for a dip, where you can also swim in the deepest cenote in Cuba! Onwards to Playa Giron where you will visit the museum of the failed invasion of Cuba in 1961, and have a delish Cuban traditional lunch. Day one ends with your arrival to your casa particular in Trinidad, where you have the evening off to explore on your own! Day two starts with a fresh Cuban breakfast at your casa particular, before your guided tour around the city on foot, through the cobblestoned streets, colonial buildings, parks and little shops, and art studios! After getting to know Trinidad, you will head a bit further west along the southern coast to Cienfuegos, the only city in Cuba that was founded by the French - not the Spanish! (Although under the Spanish crown), which gives it a unique history and architecture as well. You will get a guided tour around Cienfuegos as well, before lunch on day two in a Cuban paladar in Cienfuegos. The return drive to Havana in the afternoon takes a few hours, which is a great time for you to relax, and just take in all the impressions of the last 36 hours!
